July 19, 2002, Newsletter Issue #102: Be An Optimist

Tip of the Week

Is your glass half-empty or half-full? If you say half-empty, your personality is defined as pessimistic. If you say half-full, then you are considered an optimist. Mayo Clinic studies indicate that the more optimistic a person is, the greater the life expectancy. Pessimism was found to be a risk factor for early death along with high cholesterol. So change those pessimistic attitudes for optimistic ones. Not only will you be happier, but it can also increase your life expectancy.
