What are some challenges faced by single parents?

Challenges of Single Parenting

One of the most significant challenges facing single parents would have to be trying to make ends meet financially. Single parents usually must survive on only one income, whereas other families usually have two parents working providing double income. If there is a hostile divorce, the single parent must also deal with developing amicable relations with the other parent, which can be a challenge in itself. Visitation, collecting child support, joint custody of children, and not to mention power struggles, are all issues that present challenges to single parents. Fortunate are the ones who can settle their differences harmoniously as it makes life much easier not only for them, but also for the children. However, all challenges can provide opportunities for learning and growing. View them as challenges to be overcome, not obstacles of defeat. You will be a much stronger person.

Single parents who have to take care of their kids full time also need to hire a good babysitter. I'm a member of a great nanny site www.mynannycalledinsick.com, single parents can find a good, affordable nanny.

I can not tell you the struggle I have with making ends meet. I am so tired both in a mental and a physical sense. I work 7 days a week and I am so tired of it. I miss my kids, I miss seeing them as I want and I miss spending the time we used to spend together. I do not live above my means, I have dual degrees-Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Pshychology. My full time job does not pay peanuts and my other two part time jobs are needed to pay bills as well. How can this be???? I do not know if I should say geographics (my location is of a small town that offers nothing, I have a house payment that sucks my money from me, I have school loans for both me and my daughter....my output is 2,200 dollars each month and I will be loosing more child support due to 2 of my 3 daughters gettting to the age and time in their life I will not longer get c/s pm them. I want to sell my house (remolding it slowly and the market is not good to do so at this point and time....what the heck do I do at this point and time?

Single-parenting is of mixed-blessing for the people that have experienced it like I had.The pains are more than gains in my own views based on what I passed through from childhood to the Univerdity and after. It is a big blow in my face to the extent that I ,everyday, pray for peaceful and enjoyable marital home and not enduring home. You are stigmatized in the society and only to be comforted by only understandable in the environs. You lack love from either sides.Your unbringings suffer sets-back from vaarious angles: caringless, abuses from the parent, educational imbalances, mental imbalances, inadequate basic needs of life to mention but a few.Atimes life seems miserable because the experiences are bitter and sour.Loneliness and isolation slapped my face time without number.Though there are some blessings in the experiences of it like living an independent life that makes one more matured and more prepared for future chanllenges that may surface in any life's aspects. There are many more to learn. Thanks
